Does someone need to travel with my child?
Yes. Someone from your household needs to travel with your child on every school run: your nanny, a parent, a relative, or whoever suits your morning. That adult comes from your side rather than from us, so there is always a familiar face beside your child, and they come home with the car after the drop-off. The same applies to nursery-age children.
How much does it cost, and what's included?
A school run costs AED 3,200 per month one-way, or AED 4,800 per month for both runs, five days a week. Each run includes an hour and a half of driving time: 1½ hours in the morning and 1½ in the afternoon if you book both ways, or 1½ hours if you book a single run. The two are counted separately rather than pooled, and anything beyond a run's hour and a half is AED 40/hour, arranged in advance on WhatsApp. Your driver's commute, visa, Emirates ID, licence and all documentation are covered by us, and there are no meal or accommodation allowances to pay.
When do I pay, and what am I charged for?
Nothing until you have met and approved your driver. Your first month is split 50/50, half on approving the driver and half at month-end, and from month two you pay in full at the end of each month, after the service rather than before. Payment is by bank transfer to our official company account only; for your security, drivers never collect payment directly.
What about days my child isn't at school?
Up to 3 days a month are deducted when your child is off sick or staying home: just tell us in your WhatsApp group. Beyond three, days are charged as normal, because your driver is reserved exclusively for your family. School holidays work differently: during published breaks longer than a week, including the long summer holiday, billing pauses completely and you are not charged at all.
Do I get the same driver every day, and what if they are ill?
Yes. School bookings are assigned one dedicated driver, so your child sees the same familiar face every morning and afternoon. If that driver is ever ill or on leave, we arrange an experienced stand-in and tell you in your WhatsApp group, wherever possible the evening before. Your regular driver returns as soon as they are back, so the routine never breaks.
Can I meet the driver first, and change them if it is not working?
Yes. You meet your driver at your home before day one, and you can ask for a different driver at any point. We share your driver's full details (name, contact number, Emirates ID and driving licence), then arrange the meeting so you and your child can meet them. The driver is only confirmed once you approve. If at any point you are not comfortable, ask for a replacement. We reassign based on availability, and exactly like day one, the new driver only starts once you have met them.
What safety measures are in place for my child?
Five safety measures are in place: your child travels in your own car with their own seat and belt, an adult you nominated rides along, every driver is background-checked, no stop is unscheduled, and live location is shared throughout. Your child travels in the car they already know, with their own seat belt and child seat already fitted, and always with an adult you have nominated. Every driver is background-checked including criminal record screening, holds a valid UAE licence and Emirates ID, and has a minimum of three years driving experience. Drivers are briefed on child seat and restraint rules, carry basic first-aid awareness, and follow a no-unscheduled-stops policy: home to school and school to home, with no detours while a child is in the car. Your driver carries their Emirates ID at every pickup, which is what Dubai schools ask for when adding an authorised adult to your child's pickup list, and every trip runs with live location shared in a WhatsApp group that includes the Comfort Drive team.
Does my car come back home after the morning drop-off?
Yes. Your car comes back home after the morning drop-off, driven straight to your door (with the adult who travelled along), and your driver then leaves. You have your own car for the rest of the day, which is not something any service that supplies its own vehicle can offer.
Can one driver handle siblings, or two schools?
Yes, and siblings at the same school ride together at no extra charge, whatever size car you drive, because it is your car. Competitors charge around AED 1,000 a month to move a family to a seven-seater; we do not, because the seven-seater is already yours. Two nearby schools on a workable route can usually be covered in the same run. Share the details on WhatsApp and we will confirm before you commit.
Which schools and areas do you cover, and are you licensed?
We cover almost all areas within Dubai city limits, and the schools and nurseries within them. Message us your home address and your child's school and we will confirm the route. Comfort Drive has been registered and licensed with the Dubai Economic Department since 2016, and all our drivers hold a valid UAE driving licence and Emirates ID.
