It is also the one day of the year when a clean drive actively repairs your record rather than just preserving it, so it is worth knowing where you stand on Dubai’s black points system before you pledge.

If you participate and make it through the day without a violation or accident, the authorities will reward you by removing four black points from your driving record. Step 2 – Sign In With UAE Pass
The link above lands on the MOI sign-in screen. Choose UAE Pass and approve the request on your phone — that is the quickest route, and it pulls your licence details across automatically. An existing MOI or SmartPass account works too.
Step 3 – Sign the Safety Pledge
Fill out the Accident-Free Day pledge form, promising to follow safe-driving rules: wearing your seatbelt, respecting speed limits, avoiding mobile phone use, keeping a safe distance, and giving way to pedestrians and emergency vehicles.
Step 4 – Drive Responsibly on 31 August
Simply do what you pledged: drive safe, stay alert, and avoid violations. Your driving record will be monitored automatically by the system. Expect heavier-than-usual traffic — it is the first school run of the year.
Step 5 – Get Your Reward
If you manage a violation-free day, four black points are deducted from your licence automatically on 25 September 2026 — no paperwork and no station visit. You can confirm the change on the RTA website or the MOI portal.
Extra Measures for Road Safety
To support this initiative, Dubai Police and other authorities are stepping up road safety efforts during Back-to-School Week, including over 250 patrol units across busy areas, drone monitoring, mounted and bicycle patrols around schools, and more than 750 officers actively engaging with parents and students.
